International Octane Limited (IOL) was formed in 1998 for the purpose of developing
opportunities in the MTBE and methanol business. IOL was instrumental in the
development and execution of the QAFAC methanol and MTBE plants located at
Messaid, Qatar.
IOL is the founding shareholder in Qatar Fuel Additives Company (QAFAC), a world
scale producer of Methanol and MTBE, producing 1,000,000 tons p.a. of methanol and
660,000 tons p.a. of MTBE. IOL off takes its production volumes and then markets those
volumes globally through third party marketing agreements.
IOL continues to be active in pursuing other methanol and methanol derivative
opportunities, specifically in the MENA areas. |
